Concert in Superior Crystal

collapse post

Everything is going very well for us.  The weather is beautiful right now, it's in the upper 70's though it is suppose to get back up into the 80's this week.  I wish it would stay cool, that way it would feel more like the holiday season.  Candice and I are doing well, we spent all last week practicing for the concert in Superior as well as working on our duet for our upcoming church choir Christmas contada.  Our church choir will be performing Sunday December 16th.  The contada has some beautiful pieces, and the song Candice and I are singing "I Choose Jesus."  It's very powerful and dynamic.

The concert in Superior went very well.  We sang there in June, and they invited us to minister in music again.  We performed nine songs, two of them were Christmas songs, "Joy" and "One King."  We wanted to get the congregation in the Christmas spirit so we started with "Joy" which is an upbeat song and one of our favorites.  We also sang "Thank You Jesus," the song Candice wrote while in the hospital after her liver surgery in 2005. We thank the Lord for getting us through all the difficult times.  With Thanksgiving next week, we thought that was an appropriate song to sing, we also read a couple of scriptures from Psalm.  The service went very well, and the people there are so welcoming and friendly.  After the service the church had a big Thanksgiving dinner.  The food was very delicious.  We had a great time of fellowship and we thank the First Baptist Church of Superior for inviting us again and for their hospitality, generosity and kindness.  Thank you Larry and Lora for coming and for all your love and support.  You two are the best!! :)

Psalm 69:30

I will praise God's name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving.
