Brief Update Crystal

collapse post

We wanted to update you briefly on how things are going here.  We gave a concert at Starting Point Church on Sunday morning, and it went really well.  The church is a smaller church, but it's growing.  The people were so friendly and made us feel welcome.  Our dear friends Larry and Lora Root came and we always appreciate all their encouragement and support.  We sang five songs and gave our testimony, sharing what the Lord is doing in our lives.  This weekend is the international twins convention at the Mission Palms Hotel in Tempe.  It is our first twins convention, and we're really looking forward to it.  We're giving a 45 minute concert on Sunday, so we'll be preparing and practicing the next few days for that.  We pray that we'll be a blessing to those who attend Gospel hour.  I am sure we will have a lot to write about next time.  It has been a busy month for us but we are just so thankful the Lord continues to open doors for our ministry.  We are committed to serving HIM until our time here on earth is done.

Psalm 89:1 NIV

1 I will sing of the LORD's great love forever;
with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations

Bookings for August Crystal

collapse post

August is turning out to be quite a busy month.  Candice and I have a couple of bookings at the end of the month.  We will be ministering at Starting Point Church on Sunday the 24th.  It will be our first time singing there and we are praying we will be a blessing in their morning service.  Candice and I are really excited because we were invited to sing at a local international twins convention on August 31st.  The convention is taking place at the Missions Palms Hotel in Tempe over labor day weekend.  We found out about the convention a couple of months ago.  Candice emailed Lyn and Lori (the twins organizing the convention) to find out more information about it.  At the time we weren't sure if we would attend or not.  Well, in her email to the ladies she shared a little bit about us and gave them our website.  The next day, they emailed back saying they were looking for someone to entertain during Gospel hour and asked  if we would be interested.  Of course we told them "Yes!"  They are giving us 45 minutes to sing and give our testimony.  What a wonderful opportunity this is going to be for us.  We've never attended a twins convention before, so this will be our first one.  We are looking forward to being a part of it.

Last Sunday we sang in both morning services at South Peoria Baptist Church.  It went very well.  We have ministered there several times before, the last time being two years ago.   It was awesome singing in their new auditorium.  Candice and I sang four songs in the first service and three in the second service.  Pastor Hayes interviewed our parents about adopting the two of us as well as our sister Anjeli and brother Sanjay from India.  Our parents have an amazing story about how the Lord led them to adopt four children from India.  Dad put together an eight minute slide presentation of pictures of our family and the two of us growing up.  It played in the background while our parents were being interviewed.  It was special having our parents on stage with us.  Angels in Voice is a family ministry and our parents are very much involved in it.  Without their support we would not be able to travel around ministering in these different places.

Psalm 96:1-3

1 Sing a new song to the LORD!

   Everyone on this earth,

   sing praises to the LORD,

2  Sing and praise his name.

   Day after day announce,

   "The LORD has saved us!

3 Tell every nation on earth,

   "The LORD is wonderful

   and does marvelous things!

Another Year Older! Candice

collapse post

This past Friday, we celebrated our 28th birthday.  A friend emailed an asked "What does it feel like to be a year closer to 30?"  Well, I guess I would respond to the question by saying "OLD"!!  I remember when were just 8 years old, and our brother Jody was 28.  We never imagined that we'd ever get this age.  One thing, I can say about being another year older is that its another year we can thank God for being alive and healthy.  He has blessed us with wonderful parents who continue to support us.  We wouldn't be where we are today if wasn't for all their love and dedication to us.  We are thankful for the friendships we've made throughout the years.  We have so many special people in our lives.  God has been good to us.  I thank the Lord also for the wonderful year we had.  I can truly see his hand working in our lives.  We pray that we'll have many more opportunities to be used for HIS honor and glory.  We had a very nice birthday.  We went to the movies with our parents and Jody.  Crystal, Mom and I saw Kit Kittregde An American Girl.  It was a very good movie, one that I highly recommend if you haven't seen it.  The movie shows us how life was during the Great Depression.  Abagail Breslin is a wonderful little actress, and she was excellent as Kit Kittredge.  While we were seeing our movie, Dad and Jody saw the Mummy Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.  They weren't very impressed with it because of the special affects being way overdone.  I think they would have enjoyed seeing the movie we saw.  After the movie we went to the mall and shopped.  We received nice gifts from our parents, Jody and our Aunt Judy.  Mom baked a French vanilla cake with chocolate icing.  It was delicious!!  Our brother Sanjay brought us each a dozen roses on Saturday morning.  They are beautiful!!  We have them displayed in the center of our kitchen table for everyone to enjoy.  Our sister Anjeli is taking us  to lunch to celebrate our birthday sometime this week.

Here is a poem by M.S. Lowndez

May God richly bless you
As you celebrate today
Another year to grow in Him
And follow in His ways
Enjoy what God has given you
His blessings from above
With friends and family gathered round
Let’s thank Him for His love.
